Current opt-out methods for Metro Pcs mail
-
Mail preference form
Go to Metro by T-Mobile's direct-mail opt-out page. Choose Direct mail, enter the name and address on the mailer, and submit. If you already have a Metro account, they tell you to log in instead.
-
PaperKarma app
Photograph the Metro Pcs mailer. PaperKarma files the opt-out for you.
Once you opt out of this sender, you can opt out of 100,000+ other mailers in the same app.
-
Phone
Call Metro Pcs at +1-888-863-8768. Ask them to stop sending you promotional postal mail.
A phone request can take 5 to 10 minutes or longer, depending on the phone tree, hold time, and whether they offer a callback.
What to Expect After Opting Out
- Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. A plan or phone offer already labeled can still arrive.
- Bills are separate. Stopping promotional mail does not cancel a line, and it does not stop bills or other account mail if you keep service.
- A later list add-back can start it again. Porting a number or asking about a plan can put the address back on a marketing file.
Why Do You Receive Metro Pcs Mail?
Metro Pcs is the prepaid wireless brand that now sells as Metro by T-Mobile. It used to be MetroPCS. The mail is no-contract plan and phone offers.
You get that mail if you asked about a plan, ported a number, or landed on a list they mail. The leftover offer is often a prepaid pitch for an address that never opened a line.
How to Prevent General Junk Mail Proactively
-
DMAchoice
DMAchoice is the Association of National Advertisers' mail preference service. An $8 registration asks about 1,100 participating national companies to suppress your address from prospect promotional mail for 10 years. It does not cover local mailers, charity appeals, companies you already buy from, or occupant / current-resident saturation mail. Allow 90 days or longer.
NOTE: DMAchoice will not stop mail from Metro Pcs as it is not an active member of the ANA.
-
OptOutPrescreen
OptOutPrescreen is the official Consumer Credit Reporting Industry site. It lets you opt out of firm offers of credit and insurance for 5 years or permanently.
NOTE: OptOutPrescreen will not opt you out of Metro Pcs mail. It only covers prescreened credit card and insurance offers.
-
PaperKarma
For local and regional mailers, coupon packs, charity donation requests, and the large share of junk mail that DMAchoice does not cover, the PaperKarma app has the largest U.S. registry, with over 100,000 mailers on file.
Your Data Privacy Rights (CCPA & Beyond)
A promotional opt-out stops Metro Pcs marketing mail. It does not always stop the underlying address from being shared. If you live in a state with an active consumer privacy law (California’s CCPA and several others), you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of sale, share, or targeted advertising.
Go to Metro by T-Mobile’s direct-mail opt-out page, or call +1-888-863-8768, and ask for a deletion or do-not-share request, and to opt out of promotional mail.
Frequently asked questions
How long until Metro Pcs mail stops?
Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. If a plan or phone offer arrives during that window, it was likely already printed and labeled before your request was processed. Bills can still arrive if you keep the line.
How do I stop Metro Pcs mail for a previous resident?
Go to Metro by T-Mobile's direct-mail opt-out page and include that person’s name and this address, or call +1-888-863-8768, or use the PaperKarma app to scan the mailer, mark the recipient as a previous resident, and submit the opt-out. Do not mark the person as deceased unless they are deceased.
Will Metro Pcs mail stop if I move?
Not automatically. Marketing lists are tied to a specific name and address. A USPS forward can send a few more packets to the new address. Submit a new direct-mail opt-out for the new address, or use the PaperKarma app there.
