Email request
Relax The Back's official mailing-list FAQ says to email customer service. Include the full name and mailing address you want removed. Use the Email option on this page. Copy the template below, fill the bracketed fields, and attach a photo of the catalog if you have one.
If sending your opt-out request by email, use this helpful template for Relax The Back:
Hello, I'm writing to request that Relax The Back permanently remove my address from all direct mail lists, including your internal house list and any rented or third-party lists used to source your mailings. The name and address to remove as they appear on a recently delivered unwanted mailer: [NAME] [ADDRESS] [CITY ST ZIP] A few notes for your direct mail team: • I have never subscribed to marketing communications from Relax The Back. • Since I haven't opted in with you directly, the source is most likely a rented or co-op list. Please also flag this address with your list partners so it's suppressed at the source. Please confirm in writing once the suppression is complete. I've attached an image of the mailer for reference. Thank you, [NAME]
Replace the bracketed fields ([NAME], [ADDRESS], [CITY ST ZIP]) before sending. Attach a photo of the mailer if you have one, and keep the reply for your records.

Phone
Call Relax The Back customer service at +1-800-222-5728 (Mon–Fri, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m. PT). Ask them to remove your name and mailing address from the catalog list.
A phone request can take 5 to 10 minutes or longer, depending on the phone tree, hold time, and whether they offer a callback.
What to Expect After Opting Out
- Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Catalog campaigns are prepared in advance. One or two catalogs may still arrive after you submit.
- Transactional mail is separate. Stopping promotional catalogs does not stop order confirmations, shipments, warranty notices, or other account mail if you place a new order.
- A later purchase or catalog request can add you back. Their site still has a Request a Catalog form that signs you up for the next drop. If you order again or submit that form, your address can re-enter the marketing cycle.
- Do not use Request a Catalog to stop mail. That page is for getting a catalog, not removing one.
Why Do You Receive Relax The Back Mail?
Relax The Back is a specialty wellness retailer for back pain, ergonomic seating, massage chairs, and sleep products. Their site dates the brand to 1984. In November 2016, Interactive Health (parent of Human Touch) acquired Relax The Back Corporation. They still sell Human Touch chairs and run franchise stores.
You get the catalog if you ordered, requested a catalog, visited a store, or landed on a list they mail. Store pages describe a quarterly catalog. Their current privacy policy (October 2025) says they share information with service providers and promotional partners and do not sell or rent personal information for money. An older privacy page still on their site says partners may combine an email with a mailing address so they can send direct mail.
How to Prevent General Junk Mail Proactively
-
DMAchoice
DMAchoice is the Association of National Advertisers' mail preference service. An $8 registration asks about 1,100 participating national companies to suppress your address from prospect promotional mail for 10 years. It does not cover local mailers, charity appeals, companies you already buy from, or occupant / current-resident saturation mail. Allow 90 days or longer.
NOTE: DMAchoice will not stop mail from Relax The Back as it is not an active member of the ANA.
-
OptOutPrescreen
OptOutPrescreen is the official Consumer Credit Reporting Industry site. It lets you opt out of firm offers of credit and insurance for 5 years or permanently.
NOTE: OptOutPrescreen will not opt you out of Relax The Back mail. It only covers prescreened credit card and insurance offers.
-
PaperKarma
For local and regional mailers, coupon packs, charity donation requests, and the large share of junk mail that DMAchoice does not cover, the PaperKarma app has the largest U.S. registry, with over 100,000 mailers on file.
Your Data Privacy Rights (CCPA & Beyond)
A catalog opt-out stops Relax The Back promotional catalogs. It does not always stop the underlying address from being shared. If you live in California (CCPA) or another state with an active consumer privacy law, you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of sale, share, or targeted advertising.
A deletion request asks Relax The Back to delete personal information they collected about you, subject to the exceptions on their CCPA page. That is stronger than a mailing-list email because it targets the stored data, not only the next catalog drop.
Their official path is the CCPA Privacy Policy. Use the Email option on this page, or call +1-800-222-5728. They say they will verify your identity before they act.
Frequently asked questions
How long until Relax The Back mail stops?
Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. If a catalog arrives during that window, it was likely already printed and labeled before your request was processed.
How do I stop Relax The Back mail for a previous resident?
Use the Email option on this page and include that person’s name and this address, or call +1-800-222-5728, or use the PaperKarma app to scan the catalog label, mark the recipient as a previous resident, and submit the opt-out. Do not mark the person as deceased unless they are deceased.
Will Relax The Back mail stop if I move?
Not automatically. Catalog lists are tied to a specific name and address. A USPS forward can send a few more catalogs to the new address. Send a new email (or call) for the new address, or use the PaperKarma app there.
