Email request
Use the Email option on this page and ask For Eyes to stop promotional postal mail. Include the full name and mailing address you want removed. Copy the template below, fill the bracketed fields, and attach a photo of the mailer if you have one.
If sending your opt-out request by email, use this helpful template for For Eyes:
Hello, I'm writing to request that For Eyes permanently remove my address from all direct mail lists, including your internal house list and any rented or third-party lists used to source your mailings. The name and address to remove as they appear on a recently delivered unwanted mailer: [NAME] [ADDRESS] [CITY ST ZIP] A few notes for your direct mail team: • I have never subscribed to marketing communications from For Eyes. • Since I haven't opted in with you directly, the source is most likely a rented or co-op list. Please also flag this address with your list partners so it's suppressed at the source. Please confirm in writing once the suppression is complete. I've attached an image of the mailer for reference. Thank you, [NAME]
Replace the bracketed fields ([NAME], [ADDRESS], [CITY ST ZIP]) before sending. Attach a photo of the mailer if you have one, and keep the reply for your records.

Phone
Call For Eyes at +1-800-367-3937. Ask them to stop postal marketing for the name and address on the mailer.
A phone request can take 5 to 10 minutes or longer, depending on the phone tree, hold time, and whether they offer a callback.
What to Expect After Opting Out
- Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. An offer already labeled can still arrive.
- Orders are separate. Stopping promotional mail does not stop glasses or contacts already in production, or an exam reminder they treat as account mail.
- A later list add-back can start it again. A later purchase or exam can put the address back on a file.
Why Do You Receive For Eyes Mail?
For Eyes is an optical chain that sells eyeglasses, contacts, and sunglasses. The first store opened in Philadelphia in 1972 on the idea of a friendly shop with fair prices. They now run more than a hundred U.S. stores and promise free lifelong adjustments, cleanings, and screw replacements, plus a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. In December 2015 they joined GrandVision, later part of EssilorLuxottica. Corporate offices sit in Miramar, Florida. The leftover mail is a glasses or contacts offer, not a pair already in your case.
You get that mail if you bought frames, sat for an exam, or landed on a list they mail. They say they will take a name off the direct mailing list if you call customer service. A later purchase or exam can put the address back on.
How to Prevent General Junk Mail Proactively
-
DMAchoice
DMAchoice is the Association of National Advertisers' mail preference service. An $8 registration asks about 1,100 participating national companies to suppress your address from prospect promotional mail for 10 years. It does not cover local mailers, charity appeals, companies you already buy from, or occupant / current-resident saturation mail. Allow 90 days or longer.
NOTE: DMAchoice will not stop mail from For Eyes as it is not an active member of the ANA.
-
OptOutPrescreen
OptOutPrescreen is the official Consumer Credit Reporting Industry site. It lets you opt out of firm offers of credit and insurance for 5 years or permanently.
NOTE: OptOutPrescreen will not opt you out of For Eyes mail. It only covers prescreened credit card and insurance offers.
-
PaperKarma
For local and regional mailers, coupon packs, charity donation requests, and the large share of junk mail that DMAchoice does not cover, the PaperKarma app has the largest U.S. registry, with over 100,000 mailers on file.
Your Data Privacy Rights (CCPA & Beyond)
A promotional opt-out stops For Eyes marketing mail. It does not always stop the underlying address from being shared. If you live in a state with an active consumer privacy law (California’s CCPA and several others), you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of sale, share, or targeted advertising.
Go to For Eyes’ Privacy Policy page, or call +1-800-367-3937, and ask for a deletion or do-not-share request, and to opt out of postal marketing.
Frequently asked questions
How long until For Eyes mail stops?
Allow 8 to 12 weeks. Print runs are scheduled in advance. If an offer arrives during that window, it was likely already printed and labeled before your request was processed. Exam reminders and orders already in production can still arrive.
How do I stop For Eyes mail for a previous resident?
Call For Eyes at +1-800-367-3937 and include that person’s name and this address, or use the PaperKarma app to scan the mailer, mark the recipient as a previous resident, and submit the opt-out. Do not mark the person as deceased unless they are deceased.
Will For Eyes mail stop if I move?
Not automatically. Marketing lists are tied to a specific name and address. A USPS forward can send a few more packets to the new address. Call again for the new address, or use the PaperKarma app there.
